Changqing Oilfield Company found a huge rock salt deposit in Yulin City of Shaanxi Province. After appraisal by experts, the prospected rock salt reserve is 978.2 billion tons. This is enough to 10,000 years of extraction.

The rock salt bed covers 4600 square kilometers. The potential reserve is 6000 billion tons. The rock salt can be used in heavy chemical plants and the Great Western Development.
